I keep getting the message in the title. I am using Outlook XP, SP3 and
Norton Antispam (part of Norton Internet Security 2004).

I know the reason I get the message is because Norton Antispam is trying
to access my address book so I would like to turn off the message so I
don't receive a message box 50 times per day that says:

"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in
Outlook. Do you want to allow this?

If this is unexpected, it maybe a virus and you should choose "No".

Allow access for (x) Minutes.

x = 1, 2, 5, or 10

Is there ANY way to turn this warning off permanently? TIA.

Did you check with Symantec to see if they have an update? They should.

I searched, and continue to search, Knowledge Bases at both Microsoft and
Symantec. I haven't found anything yet but I continue to search.

Thanks.

Thanks. I'll check this out. I downloaded and registered a .dll named
redemption.dll. It was created to allow developers the ability to bypass
this message but it seems to have worked for me as well.

Well, the .dll I downloaded apparently didn't do the trick and neither
did running live update. Anybody have another idea?

Redemption is a programming library. Just downloading and installing it does
nothing.

If you think Norton Anti-spam is the cause, then either get a newer version
that doesn't have the prompts or don't use it.

According to

you should be able to fix this by running live update.
