a problem with windows vista

[Needs help]

I seem to be in an infinite loop. After trying to register my software I
receive an e-mail verification notice which I cannot access from my e-mail.
I noticed that there appears to be two versions of vista on my monitor (one
authentiated, one that is not). I discovered that after using the
start/right click/properties option that shows an authenticated user (this
tab usually shows everyone as a user). When I tried to use Outlook for mail
I could not because it requests a network password that also puts me in an
infinite loop (same question over and over). I am not on a network (or
should not be). An ideas?
