During the last couple of days, it has become almost impossible for me to
"normally" shut down my computer (running XP home). Currently, when I want to
shut it down, I get the following message:

"NAVAPSVC.EXE - Application error. The instruction at "0x0040a31e"
referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click OK
to terminate the program.

Of course, after I click OK, the message "Windows is shutting down" remains
on the screen until I'm finally forced to turn the computer off by pressing
the power button. Any solution to this???

When u start windows goto task manager and End Process NAVAPSVC.EXE. then try
shutting down yr pc

Navapsvc.exe is a component of Symantec Norton Anti-virus.
