A PowerPoint file of 20 pages(slides) with two different designs

I created a PowerPoint file of 20 pages(slides.) The file has six pages(as
index pages) showing sub headings of a substantially large script with page
numbers against each sub heading. I need these six pages containing sub
headings in a different design. When I shift to a different design for these
six slides all 20 slides convert to the changed design. Common sense helped;
I copied these six pages and pasted in a different file and changed the
design of these six pages. Printed the matter of all 20 pages arranging them
manually at the desired destination. Giving page numbers in serial order
posed a problem. Page numbers could not be arranged by default. It was done
manually. Kindly help me how one file of 20 pages can have six pages in one
design, the rest in the other.
