A Plea for MS - please someday issue meaningful error messages

Does anyone use the DataRepeater control for winforms from MS.

If so I have a problem where in I have a list of object which is bound to a
datarepeater. On the initial load and much of the time it works ok. I have
a context menu which allows the user to sort the list in various ways and an
item to change one of the attributes of the selected object which is
followed by a sort and rebind (datasource = list)

Now on occasion it will issue an error with the totally meanful message
INVALID PARAMETER.

To say that this is useless is an understatement. To understand why it
happens with that type of help from MS is just about impossible and this is
a show stopper as I would have to redesign or create my own datarepeater.

Can you please post the entire exception along with the stack trace?
That usually provides a pretty good idea about the problem.
