Hi,

In Word 2003, I can add to a toolbar a New Menu (Customize > Commands tab >
New Menu) to which I drag my favorite fonts (from Fonts in the same box) for
easy access. Can this be done in the constricting Word 2007?

As far as I know, this cannot be done in Word 2007. However, you can attach a
keyboard shortcut to any font: Click the Office button, and then click Word
Options. In the Customize category, click the Customize button. Under
"Categories," click "Fonts." Then locate each of the fonts and specify a
keyboard shortcut.

Thanks Stefan, attaching keyboard shortcuts to my favorite fonts is a good
option.

In a matter of fact, I did find a clumsy way to do it. Since I still have
Word 2003 on the same computer with Word 2007, I created a Word 2003 template
containing the new toolbar with the New Menu having my favorite fonts. Then I
placed the template in the STARTUP folder of OFFICE12. When opening Word
2007, the menu appeared under the the add-ins tab. For easy access, I added
it to the Quick Access toolbar.

It still looks impractical, since I have to click on the button in the QAT
then to click on the appearing new menu before I see the list of my favorite
fonts. Long live Word 2003 ;)
