A need for Win-Patrol with Defender also running?

My PC: desktop running Windows XP SP2, DSL connection. 2GB of RAM.
Pentium D processor at 3Ghz.

I'm using Windows Defender, and have it configured to notify me of
system changes, whether small or large. Since it runs in real-time, is
there any point to also using Win-Patrol (free version)? AFAICT, Defender
alerts me to the same issues as Win-Patrol does.

I forgot, History Fan, since you're not in here that regularly, you may
have missed the background on the recent unannounced Microsoft "update" to
the update process and the furor it caused here as well as blogs all over
the net:

Also, to really answer your OP question, WinPatrol at least in the Plus
version gives you a lot more detail about unknown processes that it alerts
you to than Defender ever will. So my answer to your question is, if you
have the horsepower and find it informative, why not run it?
