A minor SP2 annoyance

When sending a file (jpgs. or others) with Outlook Express the message
below is automatically inserted into the body of the message. It may be a
useful "warning" to me........but why should it be included in the final
message that the recipient receives. I've had friends respond saying that
it worried them to see the message. Now I have to highlight and delete the
message before sending.

Is there anyway to permanently remove this insertion???

"The message is ready to be sent with the following file or link
attachments:
0903-02

Note: To protect against computer viruses, e-mail programs may prevent
sending or receiving certain types of file attachments. Check your e-mail
security settings to determine how attachments are handled."

Copied from MS Newsgroup Outlook General:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Policies\System]
"WarningMsgInBody"=""

You can either manually edit the registry, or copy/paste
the above 3 lines into Notepad,
and save with an *.REG file name (e.g. Attachment-
warning.REG ). Then double click the
REG file to update the registry

Thanks for you suggestion. However, I can only follow the Registry as far
as

([HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies)

but after that there is no folder called "System".

Two folders show up

\comdlg32
and
\Explorer

Any other suggestions.

The copy/paste into Notepad didn't work either.

1.. If this registry key does not exist, create it. To do so:
2.. Click the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies

3.. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
4.. Type System, and then press ENTER.
5.. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click String Value.
6.. Type WarningMsgInBody, and then press ENTER.
7.. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
8.. Verify that the Value data box is blank, and then click OK.
9.. Quit Registry Editor

That was pretty easy.........

Got rid of the "WarningMsgInBody"

But I still have "The message is ready to be sent with the following file or
link attachments:"
which was there all along.

Any way to get rid of that???

Tell your friends to trust whatever you send to them, and then just hope
that you never send them a virus infected jpg.. if they are real friends,
they will go easy on the amount of lashes you get for such a transgression..
