Just wanted to thank you both for helping. Seems like i goofed. I just
tried the zoom feature in ppt2003 and it worked perfectly for what I was
striving for. For some reason, I was trying to make it work with grow
shrink and it was being a pain. My 600x600 image now appears to move from
the horizon towards the viewer perfectly!

Do keep in mind that this effect may not be as smooth on older versions of PPT
and/or older/slower PCs.
