a little asp help

Just one more thing:
before this thread "dies", why is it that I had a hard time with this
(beyond lack of knowledge and experience). what is it about a pop-up that
doesn't allow the ('HTTP_REFERRER") to pass to the page the popped window
contains?

also Thomas pointed out in this thread norton personal firewall blocks
referer. Bottom line don't use http_referer unless you absolutely have to -
there's nearly always a more reliable way to skin this cat
 
I understand! The only thing I can see that's a draw-back to adding the
page to the url like that is it's got to be done on an asp page so it won't
work on a "regular" html page. No big deal for me since I'm on a windows
server etc.
