A further delay - Yahoo Messenger

Don't know if any of you saw my earlier post about delays on composing an
e-mail on Windows Mail. Well, there is also a problem with Yahoo Messenger -
when I hit return after typing a message, there is a delay of at least one
second before it appears above in the conversation box. This seems unnatural
(and annoying) and has never happened to me with earlier machines when using
Yahoo Messenger. Has anyone else had a similar problem? What would be the
best way to check if it's another type of fault?

Try putting it in xp compatibility mode thats what I had to do to fix an
issue with yahoo messenger not displaying text I would type or a person
would type to me.
