a footnote is inconsistant with footnotes style in document

I prepared a document with footnotes. I changed the style of the footnote
numbers to 12pt non-superscript. All my numbers are fine except one footnote
that is out of line with the rest of the footnotes and also appears
Superscript. I entered the footnoe in the usual manner. Why is it out of line
and superscript? How can I fix it?

Hi Eliyahuz,

No idea :-(
How can I fix it?

Reapply the footnote reference style... that should fix it.
If the footnote reference still looks differently than the others (i.e. doesn't have a dotted border on screen if formatting marks ¶ are shown), it may be better to delete the footnote in the text, and reinsert it. Maybe the footnote reference has been accidentally overtyped.

Regards,
Klaus
