A folder cannot be closed because PST is missing.

I have a folder that was opened from a PST from a server. The connection
with the server was lost and since then, I cannot close the folder because it
says:"The operation failed. An object could not be found". The PST is now
available again but I still get the same message even though I can access the
PST. Closing and re-opening Outlook doesn't make a difference... How can I
close this folder?

This is precisely why it's not recommended to use a PST that is located on a
networked drive rather than locally. That and the fact that losing connection
can corrupt the file. I would remove the PST from your profile, move it to
your local computer, and then add it back to your profile. You may also want
to scan the PST for errors, just to be sure. Use scanpst.exe to do this (just
do a search of your harddrive for the file).

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to post back.

How can I remove the PST from my profile? This is exactly my problem.
Outlook don't seem to be able because it is missing an "object". Once I
copied the PST locally, I can open it and use it without any problems (it
shows as a duplicate in my folders). I just can't delete the original one
somehow... Can you help with this?

Use the mail applet in the control panel to do this. Let me know if that
works for you or not.

I just did that, but the folder doesn't show in my profile (but all other
folders do). Yet, I can still see and use that folder in Outlook...

With Outlook closed, use the Data Files button of the Mail applet in Control
Panel to remove the reference to the lost PST.

Then you need a new mail profile.
