I find A emtpy Key named " *" in my Registry.
It has no Property to view, so I can get the permition to kill it.
Is there any way modify the registry without running Regedit.exe?

You write "It has no Property to view, so I can get the permission
to kill it." If so, just delete it!

Hi,

Is it hurting your system, this key? Do you know where it is and why it was
placed there? There is no reason to need to remove what appear to be dead
entries, they will simply be ignored by the system. It may not, however, be
as dead as you think. Simply deleting things willy-nilly is not a wise path.

Can you modify the registry without running regedit? Sure, programmatically.
Why?

Why are you worried about this?
