If someone could help me, I formatted a floppy disk and
then copied files to from one of my computers that has
windows 98 second edition and when I try to open the disk
in my other computer with windows xp home, it will not
open the files that are on the floppy disk but instead
tells me that the disk is not formatted and it wont open
until I format it but then I would lose everything on the
disk does anyone know how to either get around this or
how to fix it.

Hi Sue,

Place the floppy back into the Win98SE machine, then try it again in XP.
