"a device I.D has been used that is out of range for your system"?

please help...what the hell is this and how do i get my sound back?!!
any help will be appreciated!!
 
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the sound device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
