A Couple of Questions

Question 1:

Are there settings in the registry or some other location that control the
toolbars that are visible in the Windows Taskbar? When I restart the
computer, the "Quick Launch" toolbar, as well as my Desktop Search toolbar
are closed. That's how the computer starts up. Also, the taskbar resets to
it's default size, and not the double size how I always have it. How do I
make it retain its settings through a restart.

Question 2:

I know that Windows is supposed to remember folder view options, but when I
open the Control Panel, it always goes back to the same awkward size window
in the same exact location. How do I reset this?

Thanks a lot for any help you all can give.

I'm guessing there aren't that many MVP's that check this group as often as
they used to?
