A "certificate services client" task never starts !

Hello everyone,

I have a Vista (home basic) task that is causing alot of error messages in
the "event viewer". It's a program called "certificate services client". It
has three tasks and one of those tasks (the user task) has trouble starting.
It keeps failing with the following three messages. Does anyone know how to
fix this.
_______________________

Task Scheduler failed to start
"\Microsoft\Windows\CertificateServicesClient\UserTask" task for user
"PARENTSPC\username". Additional Data: Error Value: 2147750692.

Task Scheduler failed to execute task
"\Microsoft\Windows\CertificateServicesClient\UserTask" . Attempting to
restart. Additional Data: Error Value: 2147750692.

I AM CONNECTED TO A NETWORK (via DSL), but I still get:

Task Scheduler could not start task
"\Microsoft\Windows\CertificateServicesClient\UserTask" because the network
was unavailable. User Action: Ensure the computer is connected to the
required network as specified in the task. If the task does not require
network presence, remove the network condition from the task configuration.

I am hesitant to delete this task since I think it deals with user logons
and certificates. Also, the "errors and events message center" at Microsoft
doesn't have info on this error.

Any ideas would be a big help,

Thanks,

Paul
