What I find totally fascinating is the lack of participation [in the
on going Priclessware process] from the self-proclaimed champions of
freeware & Priclessware.

Blinky's last post about anything was
<[email protected]> way back on the 1st

John Corliss has only made two post relating to Priclessware process.
<[email protected]>

Boomer's last post concerning anything to do with Priclessware was
here <[email protected]> back
on the 11th.

Intresting how you can champion a cause/group and take yet take no or
almost no part in things related to said cause/group.

Sure is interesting. And I posted one only, but I read them all and
carried on in my personal life as well as got started with a new web
page. Shit, the Christmas Party and my birthday are this month, so
pardon me if I score low,

Same here. I spend about 1/2 my computer time in Linux anyway and
generally don't check this group until I'm back to Windows. I've
seconded a couple of nominations...but as far as participating in the
discussions, I've yet to find one where I had something to add. I'll
vote when the time comes.

And still others run off at the mouth about how others don't.

Yikes. So I get a plaque, Most Talkative of the Month? 8-o

Feels kinda like had to step on the scale, in public, after a month where
the pizza guy made a few too many deliveries to my door. :)

Nomen,
Excuse me, but you're full of shit. I more often post messages that
provide links and help people than I post messages about other issues.
Just because I refuse to participate in the Pricelessware discussions
doesn't mean that I don't contribute to this group in other ways.

You are not the person (NOBODY is) to tell me how to act in this
group, so get ****ed.

No one said you didn't contribute to the group. I said you didn't
participate in the Priclessware discussions.

I never suggested that you act one way ot the other. Let alone TELL
you how to act. Nice use of foul language, your parents must be proud.

No political or personal agendas intended. I also knew you would be
first before I ran these. :)
It's not a negative, as I find your posts to be constructive,
well-informed and with a non-inflammatory participation factor. (e.g.
No Flames or Trolling)

Who are you?

some troll using an anonymous remailer - several of them use this
name, latin for something like "no name"

Maybe you knew that :)

I have this nomen nescio killfiled - no matter who is behind it,
chances are they are a troll - I only notice them when someone
replies.

PS - another post from me - aiming to improve on 80 somethingth most
prolific poster :)

Gee dszady, almost too embarrassed now to reply to this post. I appreciate
your kind words.

(Re flames: I bite back, so can't stay free of them. But do try to keep
the principle to not need to have the "last word" (last post) in a flame
outbreak, since it's the "last word" compulsion which is primary in
causing those brushfires to sear the hillsides for months.)

Main is that freeware has got to be the most fun & interesting hobby I
know, so ACF discussions on it are my kind of cocktail party. Guess the
stats show it, that I attended well to sampling from the punch bowl, and
lingered each night until the wee hours... 8-o

That's not a true test of anything. But I've always been puzzled by some
of the regulars who usually ask for programs they could easily have found
on Pricelessware. Not a criticism...especially since their requests tend to
generate a lot of good discussion..just a puzzlement. It's a
resource...why not use it??

The main thing is that you recognize and admit to your addiction.

Sometimes the program that's listed on the Pricelessware page doesn't
meet my needs for one reason or another. Sometimes I forget to look.
Usually the former rather than the latter.
