Is there a built-in multi-language character entry system on Windows 2000,
which enables users to write in different Asian languages such as Japanese,
Chinese, Korean, etc.?

If so, how to go about installing this tool?

Can this tool be used in Word, etc.?

Thank you.

Thanks. However, one computer store owner told me that Windows 2000 already
has it built-in. Is that not the case?

Try Looking in Control Panel, Regional Options.

Thank you!

I gather that "Input Locales" is where I install the various language
keyboards, right?

Is there any documentation that explains how to formulate the characters on
the keyboard?

The Input locale allows you to select the one you want to use from what
is installed.

How the chars are formed in Chinese, Korean or Japanese I don't know.

I was only pointing out the "built-in" sets you asked about.
