Computer will not run, keeps restarting and says something about the "hives"
file not available. machine has been acting up the last few months. Not much
computer experience hope i am in the right place. any help would be
appreciated. tx

By the way HIVES are the top-level registry keys

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_USERS
and so on
