98 to XP

Recently installed Office 2000 on XP. Contacts, calendar, old email remains
intact thanks to the personal backup recovery. Deleted all Office 2K
remnants in 98 at that point. Uneventful.

One discrepancy in XP that I did not have in 98 using the Outlook newsreader
(OE piggyback). When I download the headers for newsgroups at
msnews.microsoft.com, sometimes it simply stops without completing forcing
me to manually stop the process. All hardware is the same, same PC, same
telco modem.
