I just want to make sure I have this straight.

I have a Windows 98 SE upgrade disk. That means I can purchase and install
the upgrade version of Windows XP Home, correct?

As far as i know. Yes.

I only have an upgrade disk, so every time i format my system, I install
windows 98 and upgrade to Xp.

You may not have to install 98 first. Start the installation using the XP
Upgrade CD and when it asks for qualifying media, insert the 98 upgrade
disk. It will then ask for the XP CD back and continue installation from
scratch as a clean install.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking.
