97 to 2003

I am trying to run a database created in access 97 in access 2003. When I
open the database I get the following message:

Run Time Error '3275':

Unexpected error from external database driver (12034).

I thought this had something to do with adding sometbing to the reference
library, but I cannot figure out what to add. I really do not know anything
about this particular database and I do not want to change anything about it
that I do not have to. Does anyone know what this error message means and how
I fix the error?

I've the same problem but I'm trying to open a dbaseIV.
The Unexpected error from external database driver (8584).

I think the problem is in the SO..but i'm in the same situation...

you need to give more information about what you're trying to do.

a LOT of things changed from 97 to 2003.. and you need to give more
specifics and generals about what you're doing
