90 degree lines

I'm sure its easy, but I can't figure out how to keep lines horiaontal or
verticle. In the old poerwpoint you just held shift. I want to go from one
object to another - not to a connection point - and just stay at 90 degrees

Which version are you using?

2007. Its not problem if i draw the lines first, but If i am putting a line
between to objcts it seems all you can do is manually try to get them to 90
degrees
