802.1x and RADIUS servers

My company is setting up a wireless network and would like to use Mixed WEP
with 802.1x. My question is there any way to use 802.1x without using a type
of RADIUS server? We do not have one in place at this moment but if we go
with 802.1x then we will get the software if needed.

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Why are you worried about a radius server? Windows Server 2003 and 2000
ship with IAS and it works very well for wireless deployments? Doing
802.1x without RADIUS reduces security.

My initial question was because we did not have a Radius server and
everything that I was reading kept talking about using a Radius server. So I
was making sure that we didn't need to buy anything else. Then after I
posted this I read something about using the IAS server instead of the Radius
server. So it was more for my curiosity than anything else.

IAS _is_ a RADIUS server.
