Components:

Computer A: Windows 2000 ServerSP4, Domain Controller, Certificate authority

Computer B: Windows 2000 ServerSP4, IAS Server, IIS Installed

Computer C: Windows XP SP1 (Wireless Client)

Computer D: Windows 2000 SP4 (Wireless Client with 802.1x patch)

Computer E Laptop: MAC OS 10.3 (Wireless Client)

PDA: Windows 2003 Pocket PC

Equipment used:

Base station with WPA and radius support

D-link PCI 520 card with WPA and 802.1x support

D-link PCMA 620 card with WPA and 802.1x support

The following has been setup:

1.. Installation of a Domain controller (iastest.net) with users following
the documentation from IAS setup.
2.. Installation of IAS following the Microsoft IAS guide. Using PEAP.
3.. Installation of Bases station to point to Radius.
4.. Installation of D-link in test computers Computer C,D,E
We followed this article and installed the patch:

Using 802.1x Authentication on Computers Running Windows 2000

Problem:

Clients cannot authenticate to network unless I use the d-link utility that
has its own WPA support. If I let XP manage the connection it doesn't work.
I have even loaded a third party WPA client (including Odyssey) on the test
computers and then it works. The MAC machine has yet to work and neither
does the PDA. All of this takes place in a Lab environment with only these
computers connected. I have all the latest updates on all the machines that
I could find. I will e-mail screen shots of all the setups and any logs that
I have to anyone interested in helping solve this problem.
