Different standards. Wifi is 802.11 and bluetooth is 802.15. So the short
answer is they can not connect to each other.

Thanks for the quick respond

in that case can i use my hand free to connect to my hand phone through bluetooth(as usual)
and use my hand phone to set a voice connection to my XP machine through infra Red

My hand phone support bluetooth, GPRS and infraRed
any good suggestion to set up a voice connection from bluetooth enabled handfree to my XP machin
without buying a bluetooth card for my PC will be great

Thanks again in advanced !

Get a USB bluetooth dongle for your pc. I recently got one for $10.

My jabra handsfree headset can connect to my XP laptop. My headset also
connects to my bluetooth phone. I can transfer files from my phone to my
laptop and from my laptop to my phone over bluetooth. I can synchronize my
bluetooth phone with Outlook contacts, phone numbers, calendar on my
laptop. I can voice dial from my bluetooth headset to my phone. I can use
my bluetooth connected phone as a modem on my laptop over bluetooth.

BAFO USB Bluetooth adaptor from PC Club. $29.99 - $20 rebate = $9.99. And
it works without problem.

Hi Bob

If only..

I have a Sony laptop running 2000, a Motorola V600 a Belkin blue tooth dongle and a Jabra headset.

My headset talks fine to my phone, but I cannot get the PC-dongle connection talking to my phone. After loading the software and right clicking on the bluetooth icon, it says bluetooth device not found. I have used both the "Find" and "Discovery" function on my phone to no avail. Any ideas

It would be great to be able to do what you have described

Thanks in advance
