Love it, don't understand it.

Have the latest version from

http://www.7-zip.org/

I tell 7zip to compress a file folder, it performs the "compression, the
7Zip archive is the same size as the original file folder.

Huh?

Some types of file are already compressed so won't benefit from zip
programs. The most obvious ones are picture files such as jpegs.

This was a folder full of JPEG files.
