What's new:

- 7-Zip installer was created with NSIS.
Now it installs 7-Zip for all users (under Windows 2000/XP).
- Now 7-Zip can create multivolume archives
(switch -v for command line)
- Some bugs were fixed
- New localizations: Breton, Farsi

thx for the heads up; i've got multiple archiver programs on my machine
- WinZip (which I purchased back Windows 3.1 days), IzArc,
PowerArchiver, TugZip, and 7-Zip; find out tho, that I prefer TugZip
with its explorer like interface. Almost seamless.

YES! Multipart 7Z, now RAR does have something to fear

The 7Z compression has traded punches with RAR for some time on
compression - you can probably find material that favours each.

Not that last bastion of RAR, multipart, has been conquered.


Mind you, a quick test shows why this is still BETA ...

I made a multipart, and it tested ok

I deleted a part, and it still tested ok

I "extracted", and it still reported nothing, though what it left was
the concatenation of the parts, and not the extraction of the content.


Not ready for the big time yet, but it's a a big step nonetheless.
