Anyone seen it before?

The best way to do this, is only buy a modem which has
stated support for the OS in question. A soft modem might
only cost $10, but the most important part is the driver
CD that comes with it. If you can find a manual for the
product in advance, it might mention the included support.
(It is always possible the CD doesn't match the manual,
so it is still a $10 gamble.)

Here is an example of a CX11252 modem manual. The OS
support seems pretty impressive. The web site is a mess.

I am unable to find a US Robotics distributor in Hong KOng to buy a good
hardware modem. So my only option is those cheap soft-modems.

Thanks. It seems that those 32-bit PCI cards are not quite working with
64-bit OS and hardware....
