what does this message mean and what do I need to change so I can publish
changes I made to the web site

Take a look in the Publish Log File...maybe there's a clue there. Go to
publish but don't...look at the bottom left for View your publish
log...something like that.

Of if your web's not so big, just look for folder or files with illegal
characters in their names.

OR...contact your host

Illegal characters may include apostrophes, quotes, commas, brackets,
the ? mark, #, and spaces. There are others, but these are most common.
Safe characters are letters a-z, numbers 0-9, hyphen and underline.
Anything else may be regarded as illegal by some servers.
