550 too many recipients

I'm emailing to 9 diferent Distribution List, 40% all the
recipients (mix and match) I received this message from
the system administrator:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipients.

Subject: Annual Factor
Sent: 4/15/2004 10:43 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'Bethany doe ([email protected])' on 4/15/2004 10:43 AM
550 Too many recipients

They probably have their system configured to reject messages when there
are more than X recipients. Good anti-spam technique.
Send to smaller lists/groups. Maybe collect those people who return that
error onto one (hopefully small) list of their own and send the message
seperately to them.
