550 must be authenticated message

when i send to an existing address i keep getting a system administrator
message saying the following recipient cannot be reached 550 must be
authenticated

What version of Outlook are you using? Is this address internal to your
organization or out in the world? Does it happen on just one address or on
every address? Do you have an Exchange server or ?
