550 Error & Authentification

I did a search and found some help for the 550 error...tried the suggested
fix and still didn't take. After using MS Outlook for what seems like
decades...it won't permit me to send emails but pops-up with a 550 error and
suggesting I set email client server to authenticate. Did the tools/email
account/change/more settings/outgoing serve/ and clicked on my server
authenticate but it did not take either.

I've just finished downloading all the MS updates for the MS applications
after computer crashed over the holidays if that makes a difference.
Anyway...your help appreciated.

I would check with your ISP, or whoever you are using to send the emails.
Perhaps they are having a problem, changed your password, or are using
different ports.
