550 Administrative prohibition

Recently upgraded my PC. I can receive but not send email,
getting the error message: 550 Administrative prohibition

Any ideas what the problem might be?

account will be deleted without reading.

Just one other point; how do you set the server
authentication? I have looked at my outlook and also tried
to find how to do this on the net, but to no avail.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It's on one of your account property pages, but since you didn't give your
Outlook version, no one can tell you how to find it with certitude.

Tools>E-mail accounts>Next. Select the account and click Change. Click
More Settings, then the Outgoing Server tab. The check box at the top
controls outgoing authentication.

I really appreciate your help. However, it seems that even
after checking all these settings I still have the
problem; being able to recieve but not send email.

Any other ideas?
