Just transfered PC to Xp and upgraded to office 2003 .
Set up the mail account and testted it no errors. Mail
comes into inbox but anything I send to any address I get
a 550 Aministration 550 error. Any ideas what is wrong ?

Use the SMTP server on the same domain that you are connected to (i.e.,
use your ISP's SMTP server).

Brilliant !! Thanks that was exactly the problem , I was
using the e.mail accounts SMTP sever not ISP server.
Tested it and it worked first time.

Note that *some* ISPs will allow off-domain access to their SMTP server
*if* and only if you authenticate to their SMTP server. You can
configure your e-mail client to reuse the login info for the POP3 login
or separately specify the login info just to the SMTP server. However,
although they may permit off-domain access to their SMTP server with
authentication, they may also force you to use SSL to connect to the
server (which means you will likely use some other ports than the
standard ones for POP3 and SMTP) and may even require you to enable SPA
(secure password authentication). A call to your e-mail provider can
clarify if and how you connect to their SMTP server when you come from
off their network.
