hi all I am running windows xp with sp2 home edition, i have downloaded
windows onecare which i am still using on a trial basis, i have'nt had any
major problems with the system but there is a couple of things that i find
annoying and can't seem to find the answers to, one is it keeps telling me to
backup my files but when i try to it's no go another thing with this program
at the moment it is the firewall keeps blocking a program from accessing the
internet, the program is a sychost version 5.1.2600.2180 and i am not sure
what this is supposed to do but it keeps asking me if i will allow it or keep
blocking so i click to allow and it goes away but pops up again later on, so
i did a search to find out what it was all about and found it in the tempory
internet files now i suppose the first thing i should do is delete the files
but that would not satisfy my curiosity,i also did a search on the windows
web site and was not able to find any answers - does anyone have any
suggestions or advise.

Hi Byte - Thanks for the info but your info was incorrect as i have Ad-Aware
installed and have run this at least a couple of times since the issue of the
blocked program started so i'm not sure what you was hoping i would achieve
by doing what you suggested, i also have two other anti-spyware programs
installed on my comp and find nothing to suggest there may be a spyware
issue, but there is allways spybot will have to run that one see what
happens, please let me know if you have any other great idea's.

OneCare is in Beta. Use the tech support supplied for it.

I'm not sure what you mean, but my point is that it's a Beta product and
so support for it is not offered here but in the specific support avenue
for that product which is the link I listed.

Hi again Rock point taken, but it is a part of windows xp and that is where i
downloaded from, and when looking for help on the issue i was directed to the
windows xp forum from the windows web site, but i will take your directions
and go to the link you where good enough to provide.
