And one more funny article...

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888137

"The RAM reported by the System Properties dialog box and the System
Information tool is less than you expect in Windows Vista or in Windows XP
Service Pack 2 or later version. ...before you upgrade to Windows XP SP2,
the System Properties dialog box may report approximately 3.87 GB of RAM.
The System Information tool may report that the total physical memory is
approximately 3,540.00 megabytes (MB). After you upgrade to Windows XP SP2,
the System Properties dialog box may report approximately 3.12 GB of RAM,
and the System Information tool may report that the total physical memory is
approximately 2,770.00 MB."

Attracted?

What will PAE help with memory above 4G in XP/Vista/Win7?

I've never used the switch myself
so I don't have any experience with
it other than simply knowing about
it from a number of kb's.

the kb that just d provided in the
previous post infers to the switch
I mentioned.

Yes, the switch is there, but is doesn't grant access to memory above
4G. Most systems runs with PAE enabled by default anyways.
