3rd party dictionaries for Word

R

Rob Stewart

Is it possible to obtain 3rd party dictionary add-ins for
Word, so that the Word spell checker checks against a
particular dictionary publication? For example, the
Macquarie dictionary, Oxford dictionary etc.?

Or is creating custom dictionaries the only flexibility
we're given?

Thanks,
Rob

Yes and no.
There are third party dictionaries available and with the OED at least there
is some measure of integration with Word, but they don't replace the
resident functions. http://www.oed.com/public/publications/cdrom_v3.htm. and
http://www.macquariedictionary.com.au/p/dictionary/dictcdrom.html
