3DMark2003 CPU scores 5% slower using Catalyst 4.3!

Just updated the Catalyst drivers to 4.3 for my 9600XT, and it seems to have
slowed down my system somewhat...

GT4 - Mother Nature is about 1% faster, Pixel Shader is 10% faster, fill
rate for multi texturing is 5% faster, but CPU Score has dropped 5%!

Anyone else experienced this?

First score is using Catalyst 7-962, second score is using Catalyst 7-991

I would think many have given up on 3dmark as we don't know from one moment
to the next if either 3dmark, or the drivers arn't doing something to either
optimise or circumvent optimisation. And this isn't just a Nvidia problem as
most think. I doubt very much if ATI would make a big thing about being told
by Futuremark that they found optimisation in their previous drivers which
they have now removed.

Well from all that I've read about the 4.3 drivers it's clear that they are
a tiny bit slower, but there a lot faster when it comes to 2.0 Pixel
Shader's. So it's a trade off. If you have games that can benefit from the
PS boost then great, if not roll back. JLC
