3D printing failures

Anyone here been lucky enough to have a go with one? I'd love to give it a try someday, but clearly practice makes perfect! :thumb:

Yes, I saw that too. :D

I believe that they are quite expensive, around $2800 plus all the extras. I assume that they use some sort of cartridges like a normal printer but I'm sure they are also pricey.

Friend of mine was looking into having something made by one but he reckoned it would be just too dear. I guess, as time goes by, costs will reduce and maybe eventually we'll all have one in the house somewhere. :D

There is talk in the field of astronomy that 3D printers be sent to a distant asteroid and there to set about building a mining ship to harvest the asteroid for minerals.
