How do I find out whether the version of Vista supplied by Dell with my
computer is 32 or 64 bit, please?

Charles

Legard,
Go to Start> control panel>classic view and double click system an it should
tell you there.

Regards

Hi Charles,

Virtually all preinstalled systems are 32-bit, even though the hardware may
be 64-bit capable. Click start and type winver, then hit <enter>. If it's
64-bit, it will tell you here.

You can also open the System applet in the Control Panel. It will list
either 32 or 64 in the operating system line.

Because the OP may have blocked all your posts?

Because when I responded your answer had not shown up yet. When active, I
synch about every 15 minutes or so, and at the time I read this question
your post had not been downloaded yet.
