32-bit or 64-bit Vista?

Seeing as how I have hardly "ever" used ANY version of Windows Explorer
(I started using real file manager programs in 1992 and have done so
ever since) I have not experienced the donkey blowing you talk about.

I don't like progs like Total Commander. I've always preferred using
Explorer, that is until Vista. And both Nautilus and Dolphin in Linux
sucks for me, though isn't as frustrating as Explorer because it is MS's
fault for getting me used to using a file manager they way I now want to
use them.
Are you certain it is not YOU blowing the donkeys? (-;

Although I can make a lot of noise with my mouth, its physical dimension
would make it impossible for my not to notice a donkey's penis in my
mouth.

This is totally dependant on the company involved. I have old HP
printers, for example, (LaserJet 4 and DeskJet 970) that have 64 bit
drivers included on the Vista DVD. The LaserJet 4 is 10 years old.
The 970 is at least 6 years old.

There is nothing about Vista that precludes backwards compatibility.
It is - as always - up to the hardware company to write drivers.

HP is pretty good with it's high volume items.

Are you telling me then that the rest of the vendors are ganging up on MS
Vista to make it look bad? Are you saying that a vendor can take XP
driver source code, compile it and just load it into Vista x64 and it
should work?

Actually, they do make a pretty damn good laptop. Never had occasion to use their PC. What they do have is a clueless, inept, deaf, dumb and blind Tech Support system. Hardware good, TS sucks. I even had to go directly to Hurd to get them off their butts.
HP is pretty good with it's high volume items.

Pardon me ? They make good printers and that's exactly what they
should stick to.
