32 bit display on remote desktop

I can't get a remote session with a 32 bit color desktop or the ability to
use any setting other than 16 bit. I've tried an XP desktop and a server
2003 termial server with versions 5 & 6 of the remote desktop client. I need
to be able to work with CAD applications on my computer at work from home. I
have not modified any group policy or registry settings.

I am having the same issue. Have you had any luck in resolving this? I have
made sure all my monitor and video drivers are the most current. I have also
tried reducing down to 800x600/32bit on the displays before attempting, but
nothing has allowed me the option to go above 16 bit color and it always
shows default monitor. I don't know if that is similar to your issue or
correct, but that's what I'm incurring. I also have made sure I have the most
recent update for remote desktop 6.0.
