3 x 4 box on desktop

I have a 3 x 4 box on my desktop that will not go away. It says it is
opening PluginInstall.exe that it downloaded from microsoft.com. Mozzila
wants to know what to do with it. Save it to disk is checked off but it does
not allow you to switch to the other option which is to save it somewhere
else. The cancel button does not work and I can't X out of it. Under task
manager i can not tell which process is running to cause this and there is
nothing under applications.

How do I get rid of it?

AJR,

I had a similar problem with Vista interfering with a program trying to
install a driver. Vista's meddling caused an endless loop so bad I couldn't
even do a freakin restore point.

I was only able to get back to normal this way:

1. Reboot computer.
2. During reboot, hit the "F8" key continuously until menu appears.
3. Select "Load last known good configuration" or something like that, don't
remember the exact wording.
