Hi

the following three files are in my startup when I run msconfig. I have no
idea what they are. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

dzag which is in the following location
c:\windows\system32\dzag.exe
oaop which is in the following location c:\Documents and
Settings\*******\Application Data\oaop.exe
yrnno which is in the following location
c:\windows\system32\yrnno.exe

******** is my name in the string above.

I have no recollection as to what I may have loaded on an otherwise very
clean system that would be represented by these files. I also checked the
following site by recommendation, which I often used in the past, to see if
any light could be shed on this:

www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm

but to no avail.

I do get an annoying popup "Jimmys Surf Cleaner" or something to that
affect, which 'offers' to check my system for annoying stuff which might
have loaded when I visit the 'net....as if IT isn't annoying itself! I fear
IT is the cause of one of / all of the above files.

Help please!!!

You don't have a "very clean system". You have malware on the computer.
Those files are typical of trojan names or files associated with
spyware.

What does a scan with a current antivirus program (meaning a version not
earlier than 2002 and using updated virus definitions) show? Also,
remove spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org and Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Be sure
to update these programs before running them. These programs are free,
so run them both since they complement each other. It is best to run
antivirus and spyware removal tools in Safe Mode. You may also want to
run CWShredder and HijackThis from http://aumha.org/freeware.htm.
Although CWShredder is no longer being updated, it will still clean
older variants of the CoolWebSearch malware. Please read the
instructions carefully. Also, make sure you've visited Windows Update
and applied all security patches. Do not install driver updates from
Windows Update. Make sure you are running a firewall.
