3 fans but only 1 fan power plug on motherboard

Am I out of luck for running the other two fans? There only seems to
be one plug for a fan on the motherboard.

Thanks,

Joel

You can get a 'Y' connector with a fan plug on it to connect to a drive.
OR, get a fan with the 'Y' connector already on it. Most "replacement"
fans these days come equipped to either grab power off drive connectors
or the motherboard. If drive-connectors, you just don't have the speed
monitoring capability for that fan.

BTW: There should be at least TWO connectors on just about any
motherboard for fans: One for the CPU fan, and a second for the chassis
fan. Many boards have extras ... Extra CPU fan, AGP fan, Two chassis
fans, etc.

Look a bit harder.

Thanks.

I was assuming the CPU fan. Yes there are two total. There is an area
on the motherboard labled as fan (3rd total) but no actual plug there.
This is a new case with a fan on back, front and on the side panel. I
will look for this Y connector.

Sorry, that is a remote turn-on lead I think, not the power. The power
does have a y-connector. How can I connect all 3 of these turn-on
leads? Is there Y-connector for that as well?

Normal to power fans off a molex connector. No need for mobo
conneotrs.

The third lead is for the system to measure fan-speed.
You don't want to y that.

All it means is that you won't be able to have the motherboard measure
the fan-speed of those not having a separate connector on the board.
