3.99GB Limit On Recycle Bin

James G.

Why is it when I put my recycle bin to 10% on my 120GB
hard drive I am only allocated 3.99GB? Is there a fix or
workaround for this? Please Help, I have searched the
entire internet and find very few resources on this topic.
I understand the limits on previous versions of Windows,
but XP should be able to support more than 3.99GB.

Thanks,

James G.

I have not hit this limit, but I am going to test to see. Why do you want to
keep that much trash..? I will let you know in a short what mine does. I
have a 13 gig avi.

Is your drive formatted fat32 or NTFS? If it's fat32, it might have
something to do with the fact that fat32 has a 4gb file size limit.
