Hi Salman,

Go to Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup and uncheck anything unfamilar. Also,
check your run keys for the same: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVers ion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi on\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVers ion\RunOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\RunOnce

If nothing there, check here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVers ion\Explorer\Deskto
p\
NameSpace

As per your latter question:

To view the event log: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or
Start/Run/eventvwr.

To review Shutdown Event Tracker data, Open Event Viewer. Click System Log,
scroll to the Event column, and find entries with the number 1075.

Good luck! :o)
